Happy Half Birthday Hudson!!

Hi Hudson!

You are 6 months old today. Can you believe it? I sure can't. Whew... it went fast.

You are doing so many wonderful things. You sit up so well, you love to jump around in your Jumperoo, you just love to look at yourself in the mirror {and I think anyone could understand why, handsome boy!} and you just jibber jab away to yourself.

You are so handsome. And I'm not just saying that because I'm your mom. =)

You make my heart melt.

Although it doesn't look like it in those pictures... your hair is finally starting to come in!

We had a doctor's appointment for you today and you were described as "perfect" yet again.

I'm also happy to report that you are in the growth chart and growing like a weed!

Hudson's first Thanksgiving!

Wow how time goes by so fast!!

Yesterday was Hudson's first Thanksgiving.

He woke up like usual, in a great mood!

After breakfast and a nap we headed over to Brent and Christy's house to have Thanksgiving lunch.

Hudson got some sweet potatoes and peas for his lunch, he loved them as usual.

After he was done eating, he had a little play time.

What a cute little smile he has!

He loves his daddy

and his mommy too!

It was a great day even though Texas lost :(

I'm a Big Boy Now!

Oh he is growing soooo fast!

He can sit totally on his own now and we just started really food.

He loves Veggies! Which is great, but we will see how long it last.

He is not a fan of most fruits, but LOVES bananas.

Over all he is a happy boy :)

He loves his Daddy and Izzy.

I keep joking that Izzy will more than likely be his first word, I won't be surprised!

5 months old

Hey Handsome Man

You are just growing so fast.

You're sitting up like a big boy..

You are such a happy boy. Always smiling and laughing.

You are a good baby. You're the sweetest thing, and your personality is really starting to show. You really love Izzy, you watch her all the time.

We also recently celebrated Daddy's birthday on 10/12.

Happy Halloween

Hudson is a penguin for Halloween as you can tell from the picture above.

Let's hope that it is kinda cold on Halloween because this costume is head to toe and it is thick. Poor baby is going to be sweating.

Let's also hope he gets over this cold, or I don't know if he will be doing much on Halloween.

4 months old

You were 4 months old Saturday.

As always, time is just flying by. I feel like you were still in my belly just yesterday. And now you're 4 months old.

You're doing so many wonderful things... "talking," pulling yourself up, holding your bottle for short periods of time, and you love for mommy and daddy to give you kisses! You're trying to sit up yourself all the time. You just love to look around... you don't miss a thing! You find daddy and mommy to be extremely funny.

You are loved.

Of course mommy and daddy love you to pieces and kissing on your cheeks is our most favorite thing to do in the world. You love to watch TV with mommy and daddy and you love morning times when you wake up and get to watch morning cartoons!

I can't believe you're 4 months old. Just look how much you've grown:

Oh he is soooo sweet

He is a growing boy!

It is just amazing how fast he is growing!

He is a happy boy for the most part, but when he gets mad boy does he get mad!

He is a little like me in the way if he is hungry or tired he is really grumpy.

He weighs over 14lbs now and is really starting to get some rolls which I LOVE!!

Well this was just a quick update, I must run now he just woke up from his nap.

3 months

Hudson turned 3 months old today.

And oh my, how these past 3 months have flown by.

My sweet baby boy is doing so many wonderful things now.

He is talking more, laughing more, trying to play with us, pulling himself up and just being so darn cute!

He loves to hold his rattle and WubbaNub.

He is a little over 13 lbs now and growing like a weed.

He is rolling over and loves to play on the floor.

He loves to watch TV and to take naps in his swing.

I think tomorrow we are going to start taking naps in his crib. I hope that goes well for both Hudson and mommy. I was going to try putting him in his crib at night but since he is STILL sick I am going to wait till he is feeling better.

I love this little boy and can't believe how big he is getting so fast!

Growing up

Oh wow how time goes by way to fast!

My baby boy is almost 3 months old, here is a few pictures so show your how much he has grown.

He was so small, it still amazes me how much he has grown from when he was born.

Under the weather

Well Hudson has his first cold :( My baby boy is not feeling so good or sleeping good. But he has been in a good mood during the day, I took some pictures of him today. I think he is the cutest baby I have ever seen!!

Other than the cold he has, we haven't been to busy.

He rolled over last weekend, we were at Grandmother and Granddaddy's house and I put him down on his back and he rolled from his back to his tummy.

What a big boy!

He is also sitting up almost on his own.

Mini-Vacation

We just got back from a mini-vacation, and we had a great time!!

We started it off by our annual Benoit/Dagley family LBJ Lake trip and while that was not so fun, it was ok. It was Hudson's first real trip besides to the doctor.

Day one: Traveling with a screaming baby, not so fun!! He did sleep about 45 mins of our 4 1/2 hour drive. We finally got there and unpacked and ate dinner.

Day two: Morning started out great. Ate breakfast and everyone started to get ready to hit the lake. Hudson and I decided to take a little nap (after all this was our vacation). Around 11am, they hit a rock or a tree in the water and messed up the boat and that was the end of that. That didn't stop everyone from having a good time. We played games and had a good time playing in the lake. Towards the in of the day I walked to our house and noticed that it was really hot. I figured that it might be a little hot because it was soooo hot outside, so I didn't think much about it at first. As the evening came and it still was not cooling down, we knew we had a problem. They finally got a AC guy out there around 9ish maybe even 10ish. It did not cool off very fast but at least it cooled off!

Day Three: Started off with a great breakfast and some fun family time. We spent the afternoon just relaxing and then Hudson and I got into his puffer fish swimming pool. He didn't like it at first but then got used to it. Again, our AC went out in our house and we ended up having to move houses that night and boy was that fun!! Thank goodness they had another house for us to move into because it would not have been fun for us to cram into a house with everyone else.

Day Four: Breakfast and church. We packed everything up and started on our way home. Hudson slept the first part of the trip and then we stopped in Bee Caves and ate lunch. IT WAS GOOD!! Bountiful Bakery & Cafe

After that we drove around Austin looking for our future home! Then we started back on Hwy 71, just as we were going through Bastrop we saw the sign for the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and we decided to just got back there and look. As we drove and drove and DROVE we thought it might be fun to stop and stay if the price was right. Brian called to see if they had an ExxonMobil discount and they did. So we stayed! We loved it so much we stayed 2 nights. This place was really cool, they are really focused on kids. They have a big pool area with lot of kids things and even a kiddie pool. We took Hudson in the kiddie pool and he loved it.

Day Five: Brian decided to go play golf and Hudson and I just relaxed in the room. It was a nice day, we went by the pool but it was a little too hot. Other than this we ate breakfast and dinner at the resort and that was good too!! We spent the rest of the night just relaxing in our room.

Day Six: Our last day :( We woke up or should I say Hudson woke up! Then ate a great breakfast and then it was time for me to get a massage. That was awesome! After that we packed up and left. I could have really stayed another day, but oh well. I would recommend this resort to anyone that has kids, it is really a fun place.

I'm a happy boy

We get a little floor time each day, and most of the times he loves it. He loves to look around and sometimes watch TV. Today I caught him in a good mood and got a smile out of him. Oh my boy is getting so big so fast :(

Oh how things have changed!!

Well it's been awhile since my last post, and things have changed in our house!!

We welcomed a baby boy on June 2, 2010.

Hudson Christopher Benoit

7lbs 15ozs and 20inches

He was born at 4:26pm

My labor was labor!!

I was induced at 8:30am and given my epidural around 9:30am

After the epidural I had a bunch of family and friends in and out. I dilated pretty quick, I was 10cm at 3:00pm!

This is where the hard part started, I pushed for 1 1/2 hours!

When he finally arrived, I was so happy.

Brian was the first one to tell me that he was a boy, and I don't think I have ever loved someone so much in my whole life so quickly.

Brian then went to tell our family that was waiting in the waiting room. We have video and it is funny to see everyone reaction when Brian says "It's a Boy"!!

He really is a great baby, and I am loving every second of being a Mommy!!

Today I am 38 weeks pregnant!

I will meet this little person that kicks and keeps me up me all the time very soon!

I have been having steady contractions and I think my body is getting ready for this baby to come into the world. I went to the doctor today and I am 2cm dilated and 70% effaced. How exciting is that!!

The baby's room is done and and mine and baby's bags are packed. Now we just need a baby, and he/she will be here before we know it.
The doctor said that if I don't have the baby by next Wednesday, she will induce me.

I go on walks every night when it's a little cooler and I really think that is helping me! I am still feeling BIG! All I want to do it get a good night sleep before this baby comes, but I don't think that is going to happen.

Health: Everything is good, I am growing right on track, Still have not gained that much weight! Other than contractions every 3 to 5 minutes all the time, everything is pretty normal.

Movement: Let's just say that if I don't feel him/her at least once every 10 minutes, I start to get nervous. That's how often he/she wiggles around.

Belly: Still huge. I'm measuring 38 1/2 weeks!! No stretch marks and very light linea negra.

Next Appointment: Tuesday, June 1st at 39 weeks.
(Let's hope for more progress)

37 Weeks!

Monday I was 37 weeks pregnant!
It is becoming very very real now!,
I can't wait to meet this little person that kicks and keeps me up me all the time!

Well, I'm happy to report that the nursery is completely finished!!!
It turned out better then I could ever imagine and I often find myself just sitting in there and smiling.
I love it.

As for me, I'm feeling okay. Yep, just okay. My belly hurts. It's big. It's uncomfy. I'm trying to focus on the fact that I only have a few weeks left and I know I will miss my belly when it's gone.

I love to see my niece Reese and her face when she sees my belly, oh Aunt Ping it's getting bigger she tells me. It is really cute!

Belly: Still huge. I'm measuring 38 1/2 weeks!! No stretch marks and very light linea negra.

Next Appointment: Monday, May 24th at 38 weeks.
(Oh my, I can't believe I'll be 38 weeks on Monday!!)

32 Weeks

Today I am 32 weeks pregnant! It is becoming very real, that one day soon this little baby inside of me will be out. I can't wait to meet this little person that kicks me all the time!

Wow... these weeks are just flying by, aren't they!?! I can't believe that I have 8 weeks until my due date, though I don't think I will make it until my due date.

I recently started having contraction, and last Saturday I was in the hospital having contractions 2 minutes apart. They were able to get them to stop and I was able to go home, which made me very happy! I had to basically be on bed rest for all of last week, and I found that to be VERY boring. I am off of bed rest now, and back to work.

Well, I'm happy to report that the nursery is just one step away from being completely finished!!! The only thing left to do is hang somethings on the wall and install the baby monitor. Yep, that's it. =) I will be posting pictures soon of everything! YAY! I can't wait to show you what it looks like... it turned out better then I could ever imagine and I often find myself just standing in there and smiling. I love it. LOVE it.

Pregnancy is hard (duh!)

It's hard to walk around with a big belly, it's hard to try to get comfy, it's hard to try to sleep at night, it's hard...

But yes... when this baby is a few months old, I will miss being pregnant. I will miss feeling him/her inside me and wondering what it's doing. I'll miss it's little wiggles {and kicks!} and wondering who he/she will look like. But mostly, I'll miss having it with me all the time.

Sleep: Hmmm, I don't get much of it! This baby likes to have dance parties at 3am.
